Dago’tee! I started with Circle of Life/Soaring Eagles Home Care in March of 2018 with the San Carlos Office, as an Office Coordinator. As an engineering major I was unsure of accepting a position with a Home Care Agency. It was a new field of work, new rules, etc., but it has been the best decision I have made thus far. I was given the opportunity to interact with the elderly and disabled and gained some insight as to what we lack as a community when it comes to home care and “Honoring those we serve.” Being one of the youngest within the company has taught me to use my words and ideas in a positive manner, promoting both growth and development, and allowing the elders to use me as a megaphone for their health concerns. I love what I do and the impact it has had on our community.
I began working with Soaring Eagles Home Care in June 2017 as a Personal Care Attendant. Because of my passion for working with elders and the disabled, something instilled in me by my parents, I was able to apply what I’ve learned to help better assist my clients. In December of 2017, I was promoted to Receptionist and then to Field Coordinator in December of 2018. I believe my work experience, both on and off the clock – driving for the Older Adult Center in San Carlos, AZ, working as a sponsor with the Tungland Corporation in Phoenix, AZ, and assisting with my five disabled siblings at home – has helped me apply myself. I think it is great that Soaring Eagles has an office located in San Carlos because a lot of my people benefit from this program and I am very thankful for the opportunity given to me, to help my community.
